January 2, 2022
It's a new year! We are glad you are choosing to use our church and site to help you grow closer to Christ.
This Sunday, we continued on in our Portraits of Bible Characters series with the story of Queen Esther from her book in the Bible; Esther!
We discovered that God had placed her in the right place at the right time to intervene in order to foil an evil plot that was devised to destroy the all her people, the Jews. (wow! that was a long sentence...sorry).
Anyway, as God had a plan for Esther and her life, we know that He also wants to use YOU to increase His kingdom as you influence others around you this year in 2022.
We pray that you will invite Jesus into your life and make Him Lord of your life, if you haven't already.
And if you need to take care of this please call Pastor Harvey at 323-316-7131 and he will be glad to pray with you.

Thank you for all that stayed for our OCC photo to include in the shoe boxes.
After singing a few songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...
Esther 4:10-16
Esther Listens to Mordecai
10 Then Esther spoke to Hathach and ordered him to reply to Mordecai:
11 “All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that for any man or woman who comes to the king in the inner courtyard, who is not summoned, he has only one law, that he be put to death, unless the king holds out to him the golden scepter so that he may live. And I have not been summoned to come to the king for these thirty days.”
12 And they reported Esther’s words to Mordecai.
13 Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the other Jews.
14 For if you keep silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”
15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai,
16 “Go, gather all the Jews who are found in Susa, and fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants also will fast in the same way. And then I will go in to the king, which is not in accordance with the law; and if I perish, I perish.”
