Job Part III - Today as we continued in our study of Job we discovered what Bildad the Shuhite first said to Job and Job's response. Also, we discovered how precious life is and really, who is the Author of Life and the Redeemer of humanity.
We continue to pray that you will invite Jesus into your life and make Him Lord of your life, if you haven't already.
And if you need to take care of this please call Pastor Harvey at 323-316-7131 and he will be glad to pray with you.

After singing a few songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...
Psalm 145:14-21
New American Standard Bible
The Lord Exalted for His Goodness
Psalms 145:14-21
14 The Lord supports all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all [h]look to You,
And You give them their food in due time.
16 You open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
And kind in all His works.
18 The Lord is near to all who call on Him,
To all who call on Him in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He will also hear their cry for help and save them.
20 The Lord watches over all who love Him,
But He will destroy all the wicked.
21 My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever.

Job - A Patient Sufferer - Part III
Harvey Simpson
Here is the text from the sermon. We used a many verses from Job 8-10 today.
Job 8:1-6 NASB
[1] Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
[2] "How long will you say these things, And the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?
[3] "Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert what is right?
[4] "If your sons sinned against Him, Then He delivered them into the power of their transgression.
Job 8:5-6
[5] "If you would seek God And implore the compassion of the Almighty,
[6] If you are pure and upright, Surely now He would rouse Himself for you And restore your righteous estate.
Job 8:7-10 NASB
[7] "Though your beginning was insignificant, Yet your end will increase greatly.
[8] "Please inquire of past generations, And consider the things searched out by their fathers.
[9] "For we are only of yesterday and know nothing, Because our days on earth are as a shadow.
[10] "Will they not teach you and tell you, And bring forth words from their minds?
Job 9:30-33 NASB
[30] "If I should wash myself with snow And cleanse my hands with lye,
[31] Yet You would plunge me into the pit, And my own clothes would abhor me.
[32] "For He is not a man as I am that I may answer Him, That we may go to court together.
[33] "There is no umpire between us, Who may lay his hand upon us both.
Job 10:3 NASB
[3] 'Is it right for You indeed to oppress, To reject the labor of Your hands, And to look favorably on the schemes of the wicked?
Job 10:18-19 NASB
[18] 'Why then have You brought me out of the womb? Would that I had died and no eye had seen me!
[19] 'I should have been as though I had not been, Carried from womb to tomb.'
