After singing a few songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following reading from Hebrews 10:1-13.

Hebrews 10:1-13 NASB
One Sacrifice of Christ Is Sufficient

1 For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the form of those things itself, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually every year, make those who approach perfect.

2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins?

3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.

4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says,
“You have not desired sacrifice and offering,
But You have prepared a body for Me;

6 You have not taken pleasure in whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin.

7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come
(It is written of Me in the scroll of the book)
To do Your will, O God.’”

8 After saying above, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the Law),

9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second.

10 By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.

11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;

12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,

13 waiting from that time onward until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet.

Jesus Came to Bring Reveal the Truth
Click the video below for the sermon

Pastor Harvey Simpson
(This Three Week Sermon Series is inspired by an article in the summer edition of "Convention Herald"
by Lonnie Witt, titled "Jesus' Unexcelled Mission")

After singing a few songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following reading from Hebrews 10:1-13.

Hebrews 10:1-13 NASB
One Sacrifice of Christ Is Sufficient

John 18:29,36-38
[29]  Therefore Pilate came out to them and said, "What accusation are you bringing against this Man?"

[36] Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm."

[37] Therefore Pilate said to Him, "So You are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a king. For this purpose I have been born, and for this I have come into the world: to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to My voice."

[38] Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?" And after saying this, he came out again to the Jews and said to them, "I find no grounds at all for charges in His case.

Matthew 11:29
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."

Matthew 28:20
teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Mark 14:62
And Jesus said, "I am; and you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven."

Luke 5:13
And He reached out with His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately the leprosy left him.

Luke 13:32
And He said to them, "Go and tell that fox, 'Behold, I am casting out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I reach My goal.'

John 4:26
Jesus said to her, "I am He, the One speaking to you."

John 6:35
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; the one who comes to Me will not be hungry, and the one who believes in Me will never be thirsty.

John 7:29
I do know Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me."

John 8:12
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."

John 8:23
And He was saying to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world.

John 8:58
Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."

John 10:7
So Jesus said to them again, "Truly, truly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

John 10:11
"I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies,

John 13:13
You call Me 'Teacher' and 'Lord'; and you are correct, for so I am.

John 14:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be.

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 14:11
Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.

Matthew 15:7-9
[7]You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you, by saying:

Matthew 15:18-20
[18] But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and those things defile the person.

[19] For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, acts of adultery, other immoral sexual acts, thefts, false testimonies, and slanderous statements.

[20] These are the things that defile the person; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the person."

Matthew 12:38-42
[38]  Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, "Teacher, we want to see a sign from You."

[39] But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation craves a sign; and so no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet;

[40] for just as JONAH WAS IN THE STOMACH OF THE SEA MONSTER FOR THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.

[41] The men of Nineveh will stand up with this generation at the judgment, and will condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.

[42] The Queen of the South will rise up with this generation at the judgment and will condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.
