We worship together outdoors AND online.
We are blessed to serve you!

December 6, 2020

Another week outdoors worshiping Christ.

It was another beautiful day to worship God outdoors (socially distanced, of course).
Our gathering in person is not very large (number of people wise), so there is PLENTY of room for you to join us next week if you are so inclined.

We prefer worshiping and praying in person, but...we get it, really.  Some folks are still cautious about meeting in person.  So If you would like prayer for yourself, family, etc., either place it the comments below or if you want to keep it private, send us a Facebook message and ONLY the 2 admins at Highland Park Christian Church will see the request and then share the request as an "unspoken" request for all to pray over.

We continue we continue to keep uploading the sermon and providing the YouTube versions of the songs that we sang during worship today.  So even if you cannot join us, we'd still like to pray for you.
Give us a call or email Pastor Harvey at harvey.hpcc@gmail.com to request prayer.

Ongoing COVID-19 Protocols in Our Church

Yes!  We are still meeting outside.
Every Sunday at 11:00 am behind the big white house.
4900 North Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90042
Here are some photos of what our outdoor worship area looks like before the folks show up.
We hope to see YOU in one of these social distanced chairs with us soon!

This weekend we have prepared a worship page for you that includes...
Thursday Night's Bible Study PowerPoint AND the Zoom meeting recording.

The topic was "Showing Kindness to Others" from Luke 10:25-37

The Children's Sunday School Lesson from Mrs. Denise...
God makes and keeps a great promise to His servant, Zachariah and his wife Elizabeth.

We have great YouTube versions of Christian Hymns and contemporary songs that we sang today...

Today we continued to take a break from the Gospel of John as we entered the Advent season (don't worry we'll pick back up in John after the 1st of the year).

We hope this continues to bless YOU and draws you closer to God.

Remember, Denise and I are a phone call away if you want to pray together or just chat.
(Also remember that God is NOT far away, He has promised that He would never leave us - can I get an "Amen"!)

And don't forget you can comment below about anything that we can help you with or send us a Facebook message on the facebook message app.

You can also use the "comments below to start any conversation with us.

Thanks for all of your support!
For Him and His Kingdom,
Pastors Harvey & Denise

After singing a couple of songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...

Luke 1:1-4, 23-33

1 Since many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us,

2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word,

3 it seemed fitting to me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in an orderly sequence, most excellent Theophilus;

4 so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been [g]taught.

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee named Nazareth,

27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

28 And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.”

29 But she was very perplexed at this statement, and was pondering what kind of greeting this was.

30 And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.

32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;

33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”
