After singing a few songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...
John 15:1-5 (NASB)
1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4 Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself but must remain in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

Romans 8:28
8 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Psalm 51:2, 7
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
25 Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
26 Therefore I run in such a way as not to run aimlessly; I box in such a way, as to avoid hitting air;
27 but I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
Philippians 3:4-6
4 although I myself could boast as having confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he is confident in the flesh, I have more reason:
5 circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee;
6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.
Hebrews 12:1
1 Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us,
